1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the NorthWoods Church website at northwoodschurch.org (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site. NorthWoods Church reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. About NorthWoods Church

NorthWoods Church is a non-profit Christian church and ministry organization located in Evansville, Indiana. Our mission is Making Disciples Who Make Disciples. This Site is provided as an informational and ministry resource for our congregation and the broader community. Nothing on this Site constitutes legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.

3. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

• Use the Site to transmit any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable material.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or its related systems.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to collect data from the Site without prior written consent.
• Impersonate NorthWoods Church, its staff, or any other person or entity.
• Use the Site in any manner that could disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks.

4. Online Giving

Online donations made through our Site are processed by secure third-party payment processors (Church Teams). By submitting a donation, you represent that you are the authorized holder of the payment method used. All gifts to NorthWoods Church are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law and are made as charitable contributions. NorthWoods Church retains full discretion over the use of all donated funds in furtherance of its ministry mission.

Refund requests for online donations are handled on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, please contact our financial secretary at kathy@northwoodschurch.org within 30 days of the transaction.

5. Event Registration

By registering for events, classes, or programs through our Site or linked platforms (e.g., Church Center), you agree to provide accurate and complete information. Some events may have limited capacity. NorthWoods Church reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events and will make reasonable efforts to notify registered participants in advance. Fees paid for specific events or programs are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, sermon recordings, podcast audio, and video — is the property of NorthWoods Church or its content providers and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from any Site content without prior written permission from NorthWoods Church.

Sermon audio and video content is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You are welcome to share links to our content; however, reposting full recordings to third-party platforms without written consent is prohibited.

7. User-Submitted Content

If you submit content to us (prayer requests, form submissions, comments, testimonies, or photos), you grant NorthWoods Church a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, adapt, and display that content in connection with our ministry activities, including on our website and social media channels. You represent that you have the right to grant this license and that your submission does not violate any third-party rights.

8. Third-Party Links & Integrations

Our Site contains links to third-party websites, platforms, and embedded tools (Church Center, SermonSync, Libsyn, LeadConnector chat widget, etc.). These are provided for convenience only. NorthWoods Church does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites or services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. NorthWoods Church does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any content on the Site.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NorthWoods Church, its elders, staff, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any content or services provided through it — even if NorthWoods Church has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Site shall not exceed fifty dollars ($50.00).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NorthWoods Church and its elders, staff, and volunteers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

NorthWoods Church reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
